Sessions and Funding

Our Sessions at Children of Towan Kindergarten

At Children of Towan Kindergarten, we offer flexible, high-quality early years education that aligns with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework. Our sessions are designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.

Session Options

We offer both full-day and half-day sessions to accommodate different needs.

Full-Day Sessions

  • Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

  • Who is it for? Available for all children aged 2 and above.

  • What’s included?

    • A full day of play-based learning, outdoor exploration, and structured activities.

    • Snack provided in the morning (please bring a labeled water bottle).

    • Lunch is brought from home.

    • Outdoor play, including regular beach trips to support learning and exploration.

Half-Day Sessions

  • Morning Session: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Afternoon Session: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

  • Who is it for? Available for all children aged 2 and above.

  • What’s included?

    • A mix of guided and child-led learning activities.

    • Morning sessions include snack time.

    • Afternoon sessions include outdoor play and learning.

Extra Hours

  • Available upon request at an hourly rate.

  • Designed to support parents who need additional flexibility.

Two-Year-Old Funding

Some two-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week if they meet certain criteria.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Income-Based Eligibility

Your child may qualify if your family receives one of the following benefits:

  • Income Support.

  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA).

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).

  • Universal Credit (with a household income under £15,400 per year after tax, not including benefits).

  • Tax Credits (with a household income under £16,190 per year).

  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit.

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

  • Working Tax Credit 4-week run-on (payment received after stopping work).

Other Eligibility

Your child may also be eligible if they:

  • Are looked after by the local authority.

  • Receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

  • Have been adopted, or are under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order, or care order.

  • Come from a family with no recourse to public funds but meet local income thresholds.

Three- and Four-Year-Old Funding

All children aged three and four in England are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week, and some working families may qualify for 30 hours per week.

15 Hours Free Childcare

  • Available to all children aged 3 and 4, starting from the term after their third birthday.

  • No income requirements—every child is eligible.

30 Hours Free Childcare

  • Available to working families who meet the following criteria:

    • Both parents (or a single parent in a single-parent household) must be working.

    • Each parent earns at least £8,670 per year but less than £100,000 per year.

    • Self-employed parents can also apply if they meet the earnings criteria.
